California 2006
30 members of CDC and 40 supporters jetted off to Sunny California at the end of March 2006. We were off to 2 competitions, Jamfest Nationals, Long Beach and Athletic Championships in Palm Springs. Our Aim was to experience an American Competition and learn as much a we could but our main objective was to have FUN, FUN, FUN! With a hard few months of major changes within the squad we were all glad to get away as a team and have a great time!
The peewee dance placed 3rd and seniors 7th in level 3 cheer at Jamfest. At Athletic peewee level 2 cheer and senior pom dance were exhibiting only but were very pleased with the score forms and feedback we got. All 4 teams performed amazingly well and we were all so proud of them!
We also spent an evening Training with Maximum Allstars in their fantastic facility near Anaheim. They were all so friendly and welcoming and we had brilliant time hanging out with them, the girls made some new friends and came away with loads of new ideas.
No trip to the USA would be complete without a trip to the theme parks and we did them all, Disneyland, California Adventure, Seaworld and Universal Studios.
The whole squad had a ball and we cant wait to compete stateside again!
